Please, what the hell is all this repetitive "The Dog The Dog" thing?

I am a user of slang as much as anyone and have no problems with someone
coming up with something they think is clever etc.
But, come on!!

If I could find an "Ignore Posts" function I would not have written this.
But I am unable to find one.

This "Dog" thing is like bad jail conversation or something.
Juvenile in the extreme. Overused to the point of annoyance.

Please, Mods, I'm not trying to tell anyone to shut up, I just don't want to
'hear' it so much, so is there an ignore feature?

I was just asking for a way to be able to easily avoid reading something/someone I find annoying.
Like an Ignore setting.
I have no problem with the word, just the repetitive over-use in a single post.

Excessively referring to silver as "The Dog" seems to be done by specific poster(s) and
not seeing them would brighten my day.

One of the reasons I spend time on "the Internets" is to avoid juvenile level conversation such as
is most of television, etc.

I know it's a small thing, but many annoyances are.
