Ron Paul said, "people here will be very angry and there will be rioting in the streets . . . "

--Not until their t.v.s are shut off and they wake up to no more freebies. IMHO.

Amazing how many have come around to Ron Paul's thinking since the Obama election, when the Republicans thought he was a quack.
Now they will get their just deserves! It's too late to turn back now.

My good buddy who only trusts Bill O'Reilly and the Fox News team, is now getting a a glimpse of what is coming with reports like this being aired. After dismissing me as an alarmist nutjob for so long, he's now asking me how he should prepare himself and his family in the event of such a possibility.

It's almost time to run for the hills.

A lot of people in these parts like to diss on Ron Paul, but I have so much respect for his ability to stand firm on principle for 30+ years. He is like a light in the darkness of D.C.

My uncle dissed RP this weekend at a family gathering,
it does not get to me like it used to, so I just asked him,
"Specifically, what does Ron have wrong?"
He is a member of Big Government Party R, so he objected to the 'isolationist' foreign policy,
OK, so you are ruled by fear, I get that, what else?

'Uh, I guess he is right about the economy'
Well, no fiat means pay-as-you-go warfare, which was above uncle's pay grade.

My Mom LOVES the O-man, so I asked her in a very respectful way "What exactly has he done?"
'well, the health care bill will benefit us'
(and force millions into a system they do not want, not to mention bankrupting generations to come, and ensuring unemployment)

OK what else? are the wars winding down? has ONE soldier left Iraq/Afganistan without being replaced by fresh meat?

People do not like to think, they will not think unless their own quality of life is severely impacted. The Greeks have been impacted, we will get our turn soon enough.

jaybone, I got into it with my dad last week on vacation. He knows how conservative I am. So what does he do? He brings up Obamacare and how the government always has to come in and save the day. ::) It really struck a nerve and we argued for quite some time. He had no facts of course and in the end just told me that I spent too much time on the internet and "what are you going to do about it anyhow"? Um, prepare Dad. How? Guns, gold and food. He thought I was nuts. He has never voted, has 100% trust in the media and the government and thinks we should pay for everyone. Best of luck to him. I would send him things to read but I know he wouldn't bother:(.

Give him time to wake up, just this week my mother asked about me getting her a grand worth of silver. But just last year she said I was a harebrained idiot for emptying my bank account and stacking up on silver ammo and food so you never know he may open his eyes and look around.

Being early is difficult,
but being late can be catastrophic.

I have been early on many things throughout my life, and have given myself considerable misery due to doubt and lack of patience.

If we are going to be on the leading edge of thought and action, then we better learn to have the patience and fortitude to let the world catch up.

I have no doubt in my mind that eventually most of the world will embrace the ideals of personal liberty and responsibility. I have no idea how long it will take or what path will lead there, but the alternative is impossible.

We all 'woke up' at some point in our journey, I am really trying to have the compassion and patience to allow others to find that experience in their own due time.

This ship is heading for the rocks and I do not think the wreck can be avoided, so my days of arguing are over. Try to plant a seed in their minds, and let it grow or wither. Arguing and judging will do nothing but galvanize their ignorance.
