Thought this was interesting. Williams basically talks about:



Oil spills are evidence there is no such thing as peak oil.
Oil isn't a fossil fuel, but something else that replenishes itself by a chemical process humans still don't understand deep under the Earth.
We are f***ed.

What he is saying is that the oil is abiotic (see the June 10th AJ videos). This means that it is not fossil fuel, but something produced in the earth. This means no peak oil, probably no evolution.

very few people take abiotic oil theories seriously, but if this is true, then everything changes.

I see at least three possibities:

1. It is a complete sham (I am always wary of LW)
2. There is some truth in it, and this is the reason that there is so much turbulence politically and financially occuring.
3. Peak oil is real, and this is a diversionary story to make people think oil is unlimited.

What is interesting is that the Russians have been drilling these deep (40,000 feet + wells) for decades. As Lindsey pointed out they do it on land not in the sea.
