Main Stream Media Admits Drug War has done nothing in the past 40 years.
US drug war has met none of its goalsPosted by NAU Citizen on May 13, 2010 at 5:20pm in Current News/Events
After 40 years, the United States' war on drugs has cost $1 trillion and hundreds of thousands of lives, and
for what? Drug use is rampant and violence even more brutal and
widespread.
Even U.S. drug czar Gil Kerlikowske concedes the strategy hasn't worked.
"In the grand scheme, it has not been successful," Kerlikowske told The Associated Press. "Forty years later, the concern about drugs and drug
problems is, if anything, magnified, intensified."
This week President Obama promised to "reduce drug use and the great damage it causes" with a new national policy that he said treats drug use more
as a public health issue and focuses on prevention and treatment.
Nevertheless, his administration has increased spending on interdiction and law enforcement to record levels both in dollars and in percentage terms;
this year, they account for $10 billion of his $15.5 billion
drug-control budget.

I'm pretty sure the Drug War has met most if not all of its unposted goals.
Such as:
making criminals out of everybody.
providing justification to fund SWAT teams globally
causing an increase in drug prices so the CIA can fund its black-ops off budget troublemaking apparatus
enabled the construction of the largest penal/industrial complex (Gulag) on earth.
These are just off the top of my head. The list could be expanded.
So, I don't think that the failure of the Drug War to meet its stated goals is enough reason to end it. It's a fixture in our lives, as was the Vietnam War, and now the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. We really can't tell what it is--it's shrouded in smoke and mirrors. Whatever it is, it's rotten to the core, and they can't cover up the smell.

Ponce, as much as I appreciate your posts, I posted the same nooz item less than 12 hours before you re-posted the same thing. I'm fairly certain it was still on the 1st page when you posted it, all you needed to do was a quick scan down the page to spot it.
It isn't about 'who posted it first', it's about clutter, and that clutter causing other items to be overlooked - it feeds upon itself.

Applause, good sir! Just like the Federal Reserve, the war on drugs has failed to meet it's stated goals and reasons for existing, but the actual results are exactly going according to the "real" plan.
