Under current EU law, ejection is “legally next to impossible,” the ECB said in December. Changing the treaty requires unanimity among the EU’s 27 governments, so the euro’s current lineup -- likely to be joined by Estonia next year -- will have to find a way of making do.

If Germany would have the political willpower to exit, then they'd do it. No EU paper would stop them. Maybe it would stop some smaller nations, but Germany, UK and France could do whatever they want.

They could just blow the dust off their Blitzkrieg plans and invade Belgium again. :P
