BP (BP) CEO Tony Hayward seriously told UK's The Guardian (via Mediaite):

“The Gulf of Mexico is a very big ocean. The amount of volume of oil and dispersant we are putting into it is tiny in relation to the total water volume.”

So, so stupid.

it implies they don't understand the magnitude of what they've done. the way things are headn't, marine life will not be associated with the Gulf of Mexico.

they can't afford a $500 billion clean-up bill. so the general public will pay the tab.
