Sorry, no link.

You should be alert during the next few days. Do not open any message with an attachment entitled 'POSTCARD FROM HALLMARK,' regardless of who sent it to you. It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which 'burns' the whole hard disc C of your computer.

This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list. This is the reason why you need to send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it.

If you receive a mail called' POSTCARD,' even though sent to you by a friend, do not open it! Shut down your computer immediately. This is the worst virus announced by CNN.

It has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept.

I have fairly good filters and walls, occaisionally I'll have something quarantined in a special Virus folder, usually titled form UPS or DHL with a tracking number (I haven't shipped anything through them...lol) I just Delete it, NEVER open it

I use mailwasher so I can delete off the server before anything comes into my PC. Amazing little program, you can blacklist, bounce and report spam too.

You can usually see a virus message coming a mile away by the bad syntax:

"Greetings my friend. It is good and you will like much. I have a big surprise and for you."

Standard BS spam email "forward this to 14,000 of your closest friends, or your kitten will die" virus warning.

If a person is stooooopid enough to open suspicious email messages/click on bogus links, they deserve the "present" they receive.

See Snopes:

Yes, there is a virus out there. One of zillions. It will not wipe out life as we know it, nor has it been announced by CNN as the most destructive virus in all times. It's a virus. Suck it up, delete the spam email, and move on.
