I'm pleased anyway.

Went to the local coin shop. I have never been there personally, but I conviced a coworker to cash out her Euros into metals and had her pick me up some dimes while she was there.

Any way, picked up a .10 1989 panda sealed in plastic for 125 and a .10 1987 gae for 130.

I'm tickled. I didn't think he would be that low.

He is selling SAE @ 22 and I think SML @ 21.

Any objections to the buy?

$5 & $10 over spot for a 1/10th ounce. that's a damn good deal.

IMO $130 is an awesome deal for a 1/10 oz GAE with spot in the $1220's range. The local dealers in my area are probably selling those 1/10 oz GAEs for between $140-$150.

He said he was getting in more fracs tomorrow. I would guess that the price would be the same.

I hope I wasn't smiling ear to ear when he said the prices. I was thinking of my meager buys online and paying shipping.

BD is 150 and 151 for the gae and panda respectively.

Apmex has no .10 gae's. They have a 1990 for 200 & a 1988 for 167. Nothing special coins sealed in mint plastic.

Any way, picked up a little AU. Pb was yesterday.

my guess is, you're not talking about the lead weights you put on your wheel when your car wheels are balanced. 8)

Went back to the same coin shop. Spot @ the time of this post Au= $1209.40 & Ag= $18.08

Picked up a 2004 1/10 gae for $125 again. Still a good price IMHO.

Apmex is selling 2010's @ 144. BD is running them for $144.

Picked up SAE's for $22. Apmex is $20.56 for 20-99. BD is selling @ $20.76

To reference back to my op, spot close for gold on May 18 was $1210.50, Ag was $18.69.

High on the SAE's I would say. I was thinking $21 each when I walked in the door.
But it was cash-n-carry and no shipping so I will live with the $22 price tag.

While I was there another guy was looking to sell a 100 JM bar in the JM box. He said he bought it @ $3 spot. They were discussing price and why the dealer was a dollar off spot. The dealer was saying that a dollar under spot was the going rate for big bars and that you would always get a little less than spot when selling any amount currently. I just kept my mouth shut.

The coin dealer offered 1700 cash. Quite low in my opinion, but I kept my mouth shut. So I asked for a roll of SAE's, the guy left with his buddy, and I continued about my business. The JM guy walked back in about 5 minutes later.

He 1st asked what a tube of SAE's were then we all BS'ed for a bit. We were talking about the all but foregone conclusion that silver would blow vertically up in price.

He then sold his bar for $1700 cash. Too much to resist i would guess. I kept my mouth shut.
Ampex' buy price on a 100 oz JM bar is $1808 currently.

FWIW the dealer is looking for $1500 gold and $25 sliver by Jan 1. I told him it would be nice to break $22 first.

IMO That is still a very good deal on that 2004 1/10 2004 GAE. I think that one of my local dealers is probably currently selling those for more than $125. I think that SAE's usually have that high premium over spot. I do not buy SAE's but I remember on a recent trip to one of the the coin dealers in my city, that 2010 SAE's were going for $25 but I do not know how much the older year SAE's were selling for. I am going to guess about $22-$23 at that time. I did not ask since I knew that I was not going to buy any SAE's.
