Very sad. He was a legend. I just heard about this from my friend in Havana. Some may remember my Cuba thread from the old board. I visited him a couple years ago and enjoyed an afternoon with him on his farm. Now I'm very glad I said fk the embargo and visited him anyway. One of those priceless memories........

My last box of cigars that I had in storage in Havana will be on its way home next week. A box of Don Alejandro signed by him in 04.

My condolences, cigarlover.

I remember that Cuba thread from GIM, and enjoyed it a lot.

I'm glad you were able to go down there and hang out with him while you had the chance.

It's been a few months since I've had one, but I think I'll smoke a cigar later for him.

He once told me he was a millionaire because he had a million friends all over the world. He had a big heart and he treated everyone the same

Sounds like a real class act

R.I.P.

He was a great guy, he will be missed in the cigar community.

Sirgonzo, its been awhile since I've had a cigar as well. How about next week I send ya a package and include something from His line of cigars. I think I have some 03's. Then we can pick a date and smoke em and remember him for what he was most famous for. Sned me an addy via email or PM.

Sadly he had also given me several of his farm rolled cigars and that was the trip where I had over 6k in cigars confiscated at the border. All custom rolled and his included. Wish I had em now.....
