ive noticed that whenever we post something politically incorrect, ( which is everyday) , as soon as the thread is visited by the self proclaimed "smite whore" we all start getting smites... no coincidence here, ever since he claimed to be a black guy, then it was exposed he was a white guy ACTING like a nagger :oo-->...we all know WHY he is here.

Mighty kind of you sunshine05. I understand how you feel, and initially I felt bad that I may have offended someone....and the smites are legit. But, now I just think it's more of a gamelike feature that shouldn't be taken seriously.

..and I like that, things are often taken too seriously on this board. Smites are a good way to remind us all that life is short and to just let things roll off our shoulders in a light-hearted way.

I once smite’d you on the infamous “all races go to your own corners” thread (and I'm not a smiter). I felt that your reaction to what I posted was insulting, ludicrous, and quite paranoid. I also find it highly ironic that you display such negativity towards the posting of a Salma Hayek picture, yet feel that it is all your “smiters” who are the “*ags”. As a test, I just found that thread and smite’d you again on the same posting, and it allowed it, and therein may lie part of the problem. As a software engineer, I know how easy it would be to only allow a person to “smite” a post once, and only once, as it should be, and I would think that would be configurable in the BBS software. It was a very divisive post, though, so perhaps much of the smiting is to be expected.

I did not smite you. As I mentioned in my previous post, I DO NOT smite anybody. Just because I show up and post on a thread that you posted on does not mean squat in terms of your increase in the number of smites you are getting. Of course I do not expect you to believe me. You can believe whatever you want to believe JDRock. I do not care one way or the other and besides smites are not supposed to hurt you so why are you crying about it?

Yeah I remember seeing that video on a thread on GIM1. The "flames" cannot "burn" me because my flamesuit is very thick and that protects me from the worst of the GSUS "flames".

Actually, the GSUS poster named TPTB "created" this custom flamesuit specifically for me when we got on GSUS. I used to "wear" an "older model" flamesuit while I was on GIM1 to protect me from the GIM1 "flames" but once I got to GSUS, a stronger flamesuit was needed since GSUS is more of a freedom of speech oriented forum than GIM1 was. My GSUS flamesuit is also capable of absorbing a lot of smites. I think that it can absorb up to about 5000 smites.

Actually, the GSUS poster named TPTB "created" this custom flamesuit specifically for me when we got on GSUS. I used to "wear" an "older model" flamesuit while I was on GIM1 to protect me from the GIM1 "flames" but once I got to GSUS, a stronger flamesuit was needed since GSUS is more of a freedom of speech oriented forum than GIM1 was. My GSUS flamesuit is also capable of absorbing a lot of smites. I think that it can absorb up to about 5000 smites.


You must EARN your smites. In order to do that you must learn to be disagreeable to SOMEBODY. I'm afraid that you have failed miserably in your endeavor. ;)

1.) I do not smite anybody.

2.) I am a black male. I do not know why you have a hard time accepting that.

3.) I have a viewpoint just like everybody else on GSUS and I have a right to express that viewpoint just like you have a right to express your viewpoint on certain topics.

But....But.....But......But..........I did EARN my smites by begging for them as well as run an aggressive "smite campaign". Begging for smites is a lot of hard work. Running an aggressive "smite campaign" is also a lot of hard work. ;D It is hard out there for a "smite whore" such as myself. I wear my 460 hard-earned smites with pride. ;D

I have a theory, I believe we have one smite master on board, the master smiter.

This is the same fat finger that crashed the dow 1000 points the other week. Theory goes he was on a smite binge here, clicked on the wrong screen then hit the B for billions...and all hell broke loose.

I believe if we can identify this master smiter, we'll be able to forcast the next market crash.


He will binge again, but who can he be?

My theory: Actually I think that the master smiter is really a "master applauder" but it's his mouse that is doing all of the smiting on GSUS. I think that the master smiter has a "demonic computer mouse" and his "demonic computer mouse" is forcing him to click on the "smite" instead of the "applaud". If he disconnects this mouse from his computer, then his computer will log him off GSUS and shut down. Too bad there is nothing I can do to help him out.

I know this has been stated by many members already, but I really enjoyed the "Thanks" feature on GIM.

I like the Karma feature here, but you should be able to see who is nailing you with either fate.
