They were trying to get aid to the people being kept in an open air prison in Gaza.

They were also forcing the Jews to show their true colors.

If what the Jews say is true (That they don't "control" Gaza) then they have no claim to the waters surrounding Gaza and therefore no right to stop this fleet.
