Hello GSUS'ers
Another Friday another round of BFF - How many of the 400+ insolvent banks (and 2,800+ that are over extended) will be shuttered today?
Last week was a conundrum - technically 5 separate chartered banks went down, although 3 of them were clearly closely related (something like restaurant franchises vs. the entire corporation) - because of the straddle there were a number of tied winners last week.
How will it go down today?
As a tie breaker - choose a state/district/commonwealth which will receive the attention of the FDIC this week.
One can follow along at:

Good luck!
:)
I'll go with 5 and California!

6-8 with an emphasis on Florida. We're already one of the highest foreclosure states. Oil is going to make the downhill slope more slippery.

Good call - darnit - I wish I'd thought of the impact on the tourism to FL before I'd voted!

after witnessing the continuing destruction of the United States the last few weeks, i find myself thinking that the banking sector will follow along ... so i voted 6-8.
but i think that was kind of an emotional vote.

Look like 3 is the count! It seems no one chose the three states - making it a 3 way tie!
