things i should be able to do in the year 2010

i should be able to start a laptop and get internet out of the air. my iphone can do it, my cousin's driod can do it, all of my laptops should be able to do it as well. i shouldn't have to have some special card, some special account, etc. i should be able to have it integrated into the laptop and delivered via my isp out of the air.

i should be able to have an ipod/mp3 player jack be standard on any vehicle. it's an 1/8 input jack, how hard can that be?

i should be able to have hardware stores stock metric everything. i learned about the metric system in school in 1980, and i still can't buy a 13mm bolt at hardware hank?

While I agree that the future is anti-climatic, in the sense that true technology isn't really advancing, I am against the ubiquity of wifi. I don't need that signal invading my body all day.
