And maybe the rest of the week:

(To keep your short-term sanity, skip the 2 female welcomers as they will drive you nuts.)

Crisis in the Gulf
Peak oil
Societal collapse
Food shortages
Mass die offs

Michael Ruppert (Crossing the Rubicon, The movie "Collapse") claims 80% accuracy with his forecasts. Has anyone followed him?

Oh, and then read Denninger's 6/5 post http://market-ticker.denninger.net/archives/2375-Prepare-NOW-They-Get-It.html

I'm not sure if his deflationist view will come to fruition or if Bernanke will just order more helicopters. Whichever way it plays out, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

The Euro countries are falling like dominoes. Soon it will be the US's turn so buckle up.

Im not all convinced of his deflationary standpoint. That would kill govt and they wont let that happen, they think the can control inflation.

Ruppert's credibility is lacking due to his insistence in the nonsense of "Peak Oil."

"Peak Oil" only serves "Big Oil."

The deliberate f-up of Deepwater Horizon is part of the same campaign to forcibly reduce use of petroleum by skyrocketing the price...leading to the desired depopulation goal of the New World Order.

There remains plenty of affordably-extracted petroleum on Earth.

Oh, and I'm listening to the video in the OP right now. Fvck Ruppert and his whining about "piracy" of his video, "Collapse." If the information is so apocalyptically important, then he should be encouraging torrenting. But his income is really the concern, isn't it?

Also, he goes on and on and on and on and on with "sustainability" but lives in Venice Beach, Los Angeles? WTF - WTF Get real, man!

So you don't think he should be compensated for his labor?
Also, he said he rents the place in CA.

Ruppert used to be a major guru for me back in '04,5,6. Then he kind of dropped out for a couple years after FTW ceased publishing.

I've gone from true-believer in Peak Oil theory, to being agnostic. I remain convinced that all the horrors which MCR says PO will cause, will happen anyways because they are the NWO agenda, and they can synthetically make them happen regardless of whether PO is real, or another "global-warming" hoax. So debating PO as real or hoax strikes me as pointless, the actions to take to hunker down for the greater depression are about the same.

It's also stuck in my craw about MCR that he continues to promote this awful 911 "fiction" book, "The Shell Game (http://www.amazon.com/dp/1599550946)", which strongly suggests & emotionalizes the notion that scary moozlems orchestrated 911, rather than the obvious real perps (http://theinfounderground.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5367). This props up the whole warrenterra hoax which enables the ongoing moozlem holocaust and domestic police state legislation. See the right pane of MCR's blog (http://mikeruppert.blogspot.com/), few PGDNs to see where he promotes Shill Game. He's also pimped global warming forever.

I still watch MCR's blog, esp now with the Gulf disaster, but it's with a grain of salt. I frequently see him touting 'how RIGHT he was' on such & such subject, and as someone who's watched his stuff for years, I often find his boasting to be greatly exaggerated. I'm quite sure his "right 80% of the time" boast would wither under scrutiny-- but then who's going to take on the task of comparing everything he's ever predicted with how things turned out? Given that unliklihood, he keeps repeating the (exaggerated) boast. 80% of all statistics are just made up from whole cloth anyhow.

I tried to watch this because I love being kept up at night, but he spent the first ten or fifteen minutes name-dropping, which I found to be tiresome. There is only so much of my own eye rolling that I can take. And, I couldn't get behind his peak oil message since we have uncontrollable oil volcanoes.

There is no such thing as "intellectual property."

Also, he said he rents the place in CA.

He's a hypocrite. He lives in a luxury locale for personal satisfaction, while he preaches "sustainability." He should be in Montana or somewhere similar, "showing the way."

Also interesting was how, about 5 mins from the end during Q&A, guy asked "when should I make my last mortgage payment-- before I lose my corporate job, or after, or, is there a proper order to do this?"

Strategic defaults on mortgages had not been brought up before during the evening, but this audience questioner assumed MCR was all about walking away from mortgages. MCR laughed and said he doesn't want to be on record advising how/when to walk away, but he noted it is a hot trend, with many redirecting the mortgage funds to toys and other indulgences. Said he's never owned a home, but if he did and he had another place to live lined up, he'd quit paying the mortgage. He didn't seem to know that many who quit paying their mortgage continue to live in the house for free, unmolested by the bank, for a year or more.

Exactly, Peak Oil is here whether you believe it, or not.

It would take military world dominance by Japan to overturn it.

The deflation/inflation game is deflationary until there is a new convertible standard agreed upon, which of course will be made to be out of reach for the commoner.

They think they can pull it off, my guess is the sands will run out on them.
