Hauling 3700 gallons of water up some very steep hills with curves to a sprayer and if i hit the bottom of the hills good i can make it all the way to the top with only one downshift rpm's only drop maybe 200 by the time i top out.

Cummins power is very hard to beat even after all these years on the old girl.

Another very long day coming up tomorrow and with any luck we can move late tomorrow night with the drill to finish seeding off the last 1000 acres.

We've had some hellish storms this spring keeping us out of the fields never seen it this bad before.

Prices are in the tank too so probably not a lot to show for all our hard work come harvest time.

What's a guy to do?

My bed is going to feel real good for next 5-6 hours. ;D

How long will the 3700 gallons last before you have to haul again... better let Pete rest too... she deserves it.

Well it will fill up the sprayer 4 times but in between fills there i need to makes runs to the drill with the Freightliner to fill him up with seed and fertilizer. It was working out good timing until the sprayer went down in a mudhole and i had to pull him out then everything was out of sync.

The Freightliner is a newer truck with a C15 cat motor but the Peterbuilt will run away and hide from it with the N14 Cummins.

the life of a farmer... would love to see pics... I guess mud holes, out-of-sync operations, equipment failures are commonplace for you, not worthy of pics... just a day's normalcy... ;)

A foreign language to us city folk indeed. :)
