Have you ever held a balloon in your hands and squeezeeeeeeeee it? all the air would go to the sides of the balloon......well.......same with the oil well, if they were to cap it then the pressure would go up all around it and more oil than before would come up.........the reason for this is that the pipe is eroding so that a lot more oil could scape.

They call the above a "internal blow out".......but.......there is a lot more that they don't want to talk about.

Yes so it cant be capped as the intense pressure will come out some where else ...............but for how long

No one knows what the well head pressure according to LW as its massive and they dont want to say,it blew out containment valve,it mighten of failed it might of been simply been blowin away.

Before they made the hole, it was sealed. So it must be possiblt to cap it. I think it is just difficult because of the circumstances (depth, temperatures internal pressures, muddy bottom, etc.).

It's only hard, when you don't want to do something.
