Thanks, Imacannin! Seems I learn something new every day. I don't know how much of that stuff I've ripped up out of my garden/lawn and thrown away. Next time I'll know better!

Purslane is one of my top 10 edible weeds :sun:

BUT

there is also a non-edible lookalike

I've got these rockin and rollin in the garden right now. I just took this picture.

The hot pink variety(moss rose)? with the narrow succulent leaves is prettier, but is very sour to the point of being bitter.

The yellow Purslane with the wider paddle shaped leaves tastes just right with a light lemony flavor.

An interesting observation is that for some reason my chickens don't touch the stuff.
