He's wrong about Hemp Seed oil being used for diesel engines.

Diesel stated in his published papers, "at the Paris Exhibition in 1900 (Exposition Universelle) there was shown by the Otto Company a small diesel engine, which, at the request of the French Government ran on Arachide (earth-nut or pea-nut) oil (see biodiesel), and worked so smoothly that only a few people were aware of it. The engine was constructed for using mineral oil, and was then worked on vegetable oil without any alterations being made.

Now don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to see that engine running off of Hemp Seed oil, but to tell people that it was designed to run on it, is a bit of a stretch. And makes it look like you have an agenda when that is not the case.

Again I'm all for legalizing the plant.

i knew the diesel engine was invented to run on vegetable oils. i didn't know that it was specifically designed to run on hemp seed oil.

it helps to have a higher energy density when you're using a vegetable oil for a liquid fuel. peanut oil is really good in that regard. but i suppose there weren't many peanut farms in Germany and there were hemp farms so I guess Rudolf Diesel got himself some hempseed oil.
