The local Realtors! According to our local weekly rag, (which I think is ghost-written by the local realtor's board and the Chamber of Commerce), people who bought homes before April 20th (the date of the "accident") are opting out of or renegotiating their contracts using the "Acts of God" clause.
One realtor is quoted as saying she "has to" file a claim with BP because she lost money on a deal. Wahhhh!
Meanwhile, one of the directors of the local realtor's board is certain that if the oil situation is dealt with quickly and efficiently, property values will be minimally impacted. And I think she mentioned she has some nice swampland that had just been recently listed as well.... ::)
