PINAL COUNTY, AZ (KOLD) - A group of citizens plans to arm themselves with heavy weaponry and patrol the Vekol Valley area of Pinal County, looking for drug smugglers entering the country. They plan to conduct their patrol operation from 3:00pm Saturday to 3:00pm Sunday.
"We're going to block off the narcoterrorists that come up through this area," said Mesa resident Jason "J.T." Ready, who is organizing the gathering.
Ready says volunteers are coming from all over Arizona, and even out of state, to support the effort.
"This is the Minuteman Project on steroids," Ready explained. "We've got people with assault weapons. We will use lawful, deadly force where appropriate."
But Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu responds, "Though I appreciate their support and offer to take up arms and patrol, this would not be helpful, and would only cause a strain on already strained resources, and their safety needs to be a priority. I do not ask or encouraged them to come here."
The Vekol Valley area has become a highly-trafficked corridor for drug runners. The situation has become so dangerous that signs now warn people to stay away. Not far from the area, a Pinal County sheriff's deputy was shot and injured in late April.
Ready has ties to extremist groups, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, including a neo-Nazi group known as the National Socialist Movement. Ready has denied the group is neo-Nazi.

"Assault" weapons? Does the fact he decided to use this term throw red flags for anyone else? Isn't the term usually reserved for MSM use when they want to demonize gun proponents?

This guy JT Ready is classic. He shows up at rallies and protest with his "nazi" buddies all over town and serves as a great distraction every time he's around.

no genuine patriot gun owner would voluntarily call their firearm an "assault rifle" especialy to a press agent. Hes either very dumb and should be avoided, or hes on the take and should be avoided. Im guessing hes state police or from some branch of DHS, or just a retard.
This has "ITS A TRAP" written all over it. Even Admiral Ackbar said so.

This is a message posted (supposedly) by Mr. ready on another forum (no, it is a survival forum, not a neo-nazi forum!)
LINE IN THE SAND
Operation LINE IN THE SAND was a resounding success. A multi-ethnic coalition of citizens was assembled to battle the Drug Cartel's narco-terrorists in the Arizona desert on the outskirts of Phoenix metropolitan area. An ad hoc raid team also known as Ready's Rangers was assembled from heavily armed volunteers from around the nation. Patrol Leader J.T. Ready lead an assault on a drug smuggling compound known as the "Slaughter House" by locals. After securing the area without incident a desert command post was established consisting of militia units, humanitarian aide representatives, and national media covering the event. Recon patrols were conducted for twenty four hours in narco-terrorist held territory of the United States.
These sweeps had the overall effect of denying access to the territory from drug cartel incursions and preventing the delivery of chemical warfare in the form of illicit drugs to our community. Local CI's (Confidential Informants) reported seeing drug trains pushed deep into the rugged mountains away from the armed patrols. Three live UDA's (Undocumented Aliens) were captured and one UDA corpse was found by the teams. The crime scene was processed by an inter-agency representation of Pinal Co. Deputies, Maricopa Co. Deputies, and agents from the Bureau of Land Management who responded to calls made by the teams in the vicinity of the anti-terrorist operation.
No major injuries were sustained by volunteers. Medical aid was given to treat heat exhaustion injuries of the UDA's by Ready's Rangers. The UDA corpse is currently being processed by the Maricopa County Coroner's office.
End of Statement.

That is the same Sheriff calling for 3000 troops to come to the boarder!!!! But he doesn't want our own Militia (all citizens 18+ of any state, US CON) protecting our own boarders? This guy is a Federal Agent Provocateur, i say. I mean 1 minute he's fear mongering to the hills saying he needs troops bad, then when citizens step up, he changes his tune like the problem isn't that bad anymore....Not to mention for the citizens 'safety'. NO ASSHOLE. If it was about our safety, you would shut the fuck up, and pick up a weapon while your own state is being invaded by illegal foreign occupants....
F*ck him and get his pussy ass out of there!

The "National Socialist Movement" is an FBI/ADL operation, comprised of marginals (mentally unstable, low(er)-IQ, and/or criminally-inclined types).
