so i hung up some milkweed leaves to dry, i started with 4 but the first one i grabbed fell apart in my hand, so here’s the other 3 leaves

and then i crushed and rolled them up in my hands, and picked out the stems and midribs

the question is - are all the nutrients still in the leaves ?

so now i’m trying some more milkweed leaves and day lily flowers, and i put one day lily in a book

The nutrients should be in them, as long as you did not heat them above 115 degrees when drying them. Next time wear some latex gloves or crush them up in a bowl, so you don't get oils from your skin on them.

PS....... Love the lace curtain holders!

I think that's a house & gardens quick fix tip... :D

you can see outside the window though, there is a well manicured yard :)

i've been thinking about getting a mortar and pestle ( depending on cost )
or i may just make a wooden pestle and use a porcelain dish
