Cash-strapped North Korea has demanded the United States pay almost $US65 trillion ($75 trillion) in compensation for six decades of hostility.

The official North Korean news agency, KCNA, says the cost of the damage done by the US since the peninsula was divided in 1945 is estimated at $US64.96 trillion.

The compensation call comes on the eve of the 60th anniversary of the start of the 1950-1953 Korean War....

I wish I could convince everyone here to read the book in my sig at mises.org. We have helped every commie nation in the world except for one. Why not? No central bank.

*I have to admire Kim Jong for not letting the banksters spread the delusion of wealth to his people. I think they suffer more than they should have to with all the totalitarian crap though. Probably some of the best people on earth there because of the hardships and suffering they've been through.

I guess 65.000 of those Billion dollar bonds may take a pallet. But please North Korea don't take Japanese government official look a likes to bring the bonds through Italy to Switzerland for trading the bonds to tangibles...

Apart from everything I think North Koreas demand is perfectly reasonable!

I have a better idea. He can't spend Zimbabwe dollars or even American dollars. Let's print up HIS currency and airdrop 150 trillion (dollars' worth)... of these....

Maybe not technically, but my understanding is that the US$ is the preferred currency to hold in N. Korea!

I am sure it is, but we can "help them out" by printing up a gazillion of their own and giving it to the dumb masses.
