Wayne Madsen Report
June 28, 2010
A well-placed source in California told WMR that the California Emergency Management Agency (CEMA) has been briefed by its counterpart agencies in the Gulf coast states that there are plans to conduct a mass evacuation of millions of Gulf coast residents due to the catastrophic environmental and public health effects of the BP oil disaster.
CEMA officials have been briefed on the planned evacuations by counterparts in the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, the Alabama Emergency Management Agency, the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, and the Florida Division of Emergency Management.
The Gulf states’ emergency planners stressed to their California counterparts that they are dealing with a disaster of unprecedented proportions and that contingency plans are being constantly updated and revised on ways to deal with the transformation of the Gulf of Mexico into a deadly “toxic soup†of oil and Corexit 9500 oil dispersants and the atmosphere into a dangerous mixture of hydrocarbon gases.
CEMA was briefed on the impending mass evacuation since California would be expected to absorb a large number of evacuees from the Gulf states. CEMA officials did not say how the state of California, which is virtually bankrupt, would pay for the influx of hundreds of thousands and perhaps greater numbers of evacuees from the Gulf coastal region.

Indirect bail-out of CA with FEMA funds (if this is true)?

Good point, states won't be bankrupt when the feds are shuffling people around and giving "aid".

This whole disaster seems to potentially achieve a slew of objectives.
Kills or condenses a group of American who are more likely to resist and have the geography on their side. Take them out of their element without defensive capabilities and you have a huge advantage, many in the south don't even need to stockpile that much to survive but out of our natural terrain we're screwed.
Disarms us as well at the same time.
Takes Florida and its free falling property values out of the mix because it's now all of a sudden because of an ecological disaster. Same goes for Florida's unemployment numbers.
Shifts the attention away from the economic situation and to "the relief effort", which of course is going to cost trillions...we can't let fellow Americans suffer, can we?
Restrictions on travel nationwide.
As has been said, set up for the bailout of other states....Detroit comes to mind.
I'm sure there's more to add to this list.

I don't see this happening. Sounds like more opportunistic scare-mongering to me...

I'm not familiar with Madsden or his report so it's hard to guantify what he says but like most everything else being said ya have to file it with a grain of salt and keep looking for confirmation. Was Cali the only state contacted? (if the report is true), most likely not and the other states will soon enough start to leak such info if true.
Right now I would just prefer to be a willing refugee ahead of the crown than an unwilling one at the end of the line, with someone dictating to me what, where and when. There just doesn't seem to be a lot of room for error.

Normally, I'd agree. But Wayne Madsden is usually quite credible. Hopefully, he's not going the way of Sorcha Fail.

If he's posting this kind of crap, that is exactly the direction he is going.
This doesn't pass even the most elementary bullshit test.
Just because somebody says something really exciting on the Inernetz doesn't mean it has any resemblance to reality. I've learned that the trick is to quickly be able to tell the difference.
This piece gets the alarms ringing for sure.

those southern fried pieces of garbage can wallow in thier own filth. Relocate to California? Why, so they can start in on their "drill baby drill" bullshit in that state too? Let them stay where they are. This WILL turn out to be a disaster of biblical proportions. Hey, those pieces of shit destroy their own land, let them stay on that land. Backwards ass neocon christofacist zombies will not be welcomed anywhere, certainly not on the east coast. Let's put them all in tent cities in the desert for about 2 or three generations. Because they bring their guns and southern fried attitude to the east coast, and they will end up in 50 gallon oil drums in the vast marshlands of new jersey.

Wayne Madsen is not a credible source in my view.
He has come out with many colorful claims, while cultivating a reputation for supporting true statesmen like Jon Corzine. I recall in 2006 he urged everyone to vote Democratic down the line; if this man really does have such well-placed sources, he ought to have known that the Democrats were not going to change one iota of foreign policy or financial policy.
With that said, I think there is a strong possibility of limited evacuations from the Gulf due to air toxicity. Indeed, I don't think many people will put up a fight with the National Guard/Army/Marines/FEMA because the local economies have essentially been shut down. So, there isn't much incentive to stay.
I think that this is a classic case of powers out of their depth; remember, when Darius's bridge to Greece was destroyed by a storm, he whipped the ocean to punish it. Our governmental and corporate leaders thought they could do anything - and now have the biggest environmental disaster in history to deal with.
Not everything is a concerted conspiracy, sometimes the powers that be really do screw up.

Have ya'll seen this conspiracy theory here? TPTB want to turn the Gulf Coast into a giant Algae Farm that will replace Petrol with Biofuel.
