however, bills such as HR 1055 make any discussion about impeding the US steamrollering of its citizens, illegal. that bill also makes it illegal to talk about materially impeding the US war machine.

as far as something happening before the election - i think the BP Gulf oil disaster will provide all the excitement and adventure TPTB need.
