THIS IS FROM ANOTHER BOARD, THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN TO ME.

Gotta love the BS thrown your way.

I'm gonna give you the story of an incident that occurred about 2 hours ago. Think most calgunners will like this one.

Sitting at my computer browsing, I hear a loud screech followed by a strong BOOM CRUNCH CRUNCH!

I immediately grab my surefire light, knife, and cell phone. Run outside to witness a car sitting in my front yard, and my gate knocked down, with brick, and twisted metal everywhere. A 30+ft skid mark in the street leads from the intersection to the curb.

Two men are standing next to it. I light them up with my surefire. They take off running. I naturally pursue them in my sandals and carrying a piece of metal, with spike on the end. Which I picked up off the ground, next to my gate. LOL

I am screaming "STOP running you dumb f**kers!" As I am running after them, I am simultaneously dialing 911, and talking to the dispatcher. She advises me to cease the pursuit, as it could cause legal trouble. I agree, and turn around, and head back home.

All my neighbors are now standing in my yard. I start to talk with them, while awaiting the arrival of the LAPD.

Now it gets interesting...

A SUV pulls up. I light them up with my surefire, as I'm afraid, I may get shot.
Sitting in the passenger seat is the passenger from the car which crashed into my house. In the back seat, is the driver of the car which hit my gate.
The driver is crying, hunched over, and holding his shoulder and stomach.

I ask if he is OK, and if he needs an Ambulance. The smell of hard liquor immediately penetrates my nostrils. They did not speak much English. Fortunately my neighbor speaks Spanish, and interprets for me.

They begin to accuse me of calling the police, and trying to get them in trouble. The passenger says, the driver is his friend, and that I'm trying to put him in jail. Also adds, there is no reason to call the police, as this is only an accident. I say the police have already been called, and they are indeed needed. There is significant damage to my property, and I need a police report. So that insurance can cover it. They have none of that, and start to become very aggressive and belligerent. Kicking the car, and throwing rods of metal into the street.

In addition, they make several attempts to open the car, and retrieve some sort of items. I tell them not to touch sh*t until the police get here. They refuse my commands. As they are digging through the car, I am shining the light in there, to carefully watch what it is they are retrieving. Turned out to be a cell phone and wallet.

I start to feel the escalating tension and aggression. My neighbor advises me to stand behind him, because they are making threats of physical harm towards me.
Things were getting bad, and then 2 more cars pull up. And about 6 more people exit. They are friends/family of the two driving the accident vehicle.

I'm getting nervous, and my hand rests near my pocket. Where my griptillian is clipped. Now I have a bunch of people cursing me in Spanish, and getting too close for comfort. Time elapsed is about 45min after calling 911.
My neighbor is informing me, they are saying to me "you better watch your back, we are going to f**k you up, motherf**ker."

All of a sudden the injured driver jumps in the SUV and takes off.
About 10min later the police arrive.
They show aggression toward the police officers as well. However, the officers are able to maintain control, but call for back up anyway. None of the people spoke very much English. Fortunately one of the officers spoke fluent Spanish. The passenger has nothing more than a Guatemalan ID, refuses to cooperate, and changes his story every other sentence.

Now the one woman, who arrived later, says she is the person on the cars insurance. Tells the police that her car was stolen.
The police listen to her BS. Then come over to talk to me. They say the don't believe her story one bit. My 4 neighbors act as witnesses the the prior events that took place.
The officer informs me, that there is nothing he can do, he must take her theft report. He says it will cause me a lot of trouble, and slow down the process on insurance reimbursement to get my gate fixed. Could be months before anything is done.

On top of all this, I am most likely going to be retaliated against in the future.
My neighbor was nice, and gave me his phone number. As he was witness to their threatening comments. He says they blame me for EVERYTHING, and that I have caused them great trouble.

I am me, I am free

Well dammit, he should have done a better job of controlling his fence and not allowing it to jump out in front of those illegals' car.

Gotta love the irony how the presence of illegals creates circumstances where there's little or no legal recourse when one's property is damaged. This situation will only get worse.

I don't understand. Isn't somebody's freedom forfeit if they destroy your property and refuse to compensate you? That's the common law, isn't it? They're liable.

P.S. Luck you had a fence or they might be through your bedroom wall, mr. calgunner.

LOL, nice one Nocturnal but it's not me, I live in Pasadena.

FYI - If the fence was worth more than a grand wouldn't it make it a felony?

I know it's not you, I was speaking through you to who-ever posted it on the calgun boards.

This story is all kinds of fucked up. Hit and Run, DUI, assault and battery, threats of physical violence...
