I caught the last half of a show called Viper Wars on National Geographic channel last night. The most interesting part of the show was a statement that the Army Corp of Engineers was flying un-manned drones over the Everglades in Florida trying to find burmese pythons using infra-red. They had a brief picture of a screen simulating where they found 2 snakes this way.

I just thought this was an odd way to utilize the Army Corp of Engineers, but the only other things I know about them are that their dikes failed during Katrina, and they are helping to build the Israeli's apartheid wall.

Almost forgot, apparently there is an african python down there now too, which is way more aggressive. As in, if it sees you, it will chase and attack. Supposed to be tens of thousands of the Burmese pythons in the Eveglades, not so many of the african python.
