I can understand people being comfortable among others that have a high degree of commonality between them. And I can understand and accept that not everyone will accept everyone else as equal. I know we're on earth and not planet utopia. And I can even understand how people want their children to marry within their same faith, nationality, color or similar economic standing. I would call it a bias rather than anything racist.

But at the same time, you must accept that others have been, and will continue to cross over all these bridges or walls that you've put up in your mind. In a way it is like many other issues of choice, to each his own. There are countless examples of human behavior that I don't approve of, and there is nothing I could ever do about, other than to not practice such behavior myself, and to try and pass on my values to my children. But if my children respond otherwise, I'll still accept them and love them.

I somewhat empathize with this. I went to public schools in Los Angeles. It's not hard for me to imagine a school that is 20% black, 20% mexican, 20% asian, 20% white, and 20% other, because I went to one.

I also empathize with the terrible treatment whites get on many levels - a type of reverse racism for something that none of us were even alive to witness, events that are in the deep past.

Now for me, there IS NOBODY else quite like me, so I kind of have to fit in. There's no group I could join, which would totally represent my background. I have never met anybody else, besides my sister, who is the exact same race as I am. I guess that this has made me look at the world a little differently, as I can identify with many groups (German, British, Turkish, Hungarian, Czeckoslavakian, Scottish, Irish are all in my mother's side) (Egyptian is my father's side) but I can't ever really say I'm one race, and one race only. So it puts me in a weird place when it comes to race identity. So you'll have to forgive me if I fail to see going to public school with other races as an impasse or problem. To me, the real problem is actually people banding together and refusing to accept one another. You don't even have to like one another, but you shouldn't mess with eachother, either. So in your above example, those black kids are obviously in the wrong if they're hassling white kids, and their race doesn't matter either. If you're hassling innocents, you're in the wrong, regardless of race.


Also, I think the idea of a white state got thrown in this thread somewhere. Do not be so naive to think that other races won't follow suit....I for one would hate that a lot more than a multicultural society.

So I'm sorry you feel oppressed, but I suggest you handle crimes on a case by case basis. If someone wrongs you, you should have remedy and recourse, and you should be entitled to protect yourself. But trying to pre-empt all that by just getting rid of certain people...Pretty lame if you ask me.

Let them vomit their garbage. The "Natural Order of Things" is going to place a premium on "community" soon enough. "Individuals" won't be so haughty when their money is looked upon as worthless. Most of "the Rich," who don't have any time for eternal values, are "rich" on paper and in databases only.
