He missed the mark on technology getting better and improving standards of living. That's over, and any advancement from here only has negative effects
Technology is the very thing that is destroying us.

What are the benefits?

So we can live longer then we have the means to
Complete loss of privacy
New advanced ways to steal our wealth
The programing of our youth
New ways to kill others
We can work more hours for less, producing nothing
Government intrusion in our lives
Cars and things you can't fix yourself
Food that is unfit for human consumption
People that only socialize via the computer

The benefits of technology is not for us, but for the TPTB. Technology is killing us, from the guy addicted to online gaming, right down to the guy on information overload aging by the minute.

People didn't have these ailments years ago. Nobody had carpal tunnel sydrome, or ADD, or bipolar...yes there was fucked up people...but less of them.

Technology controls the masses. God help us if we don't get the latest IPOD, or IPHONE, or toss out a perfectly good TV because there's a 3D version out.

Technology is a convenient buffer, to keep us focused away from what's really happening. I look around me, I don't see anyone grabbing pitchforks to storm the castle. I see folks poking away at gadgets all day, ignoring everything around them.

It's amazing they get through the day with out getting run over by a truck actually. Oblivious.
