View Full Version : PDT has risen from the ashes

Hello all!

I have returned, with an appropriate username. :)

Here's how this happened...

Earlier this week, I received an email from JQP regarding the upgrades here at GS-US, at the email address I used for PDT. I thought it quite odd, since it was the first (only) message I had received since I left months ago, and, my wife did not receive the same message (it appeared to be purposefully targeted to me).

I ignored this message at first, but when I found that Awoke had contacted my wife about missing us, I thought that maybe a concerted effort was being extended to welcome us back. After some thinking, last night I decided to come back if I would be welcomed by management. Obviously, that welcome has been extended.

I can't say if Lisa will come back, but we shall see (she's found other homes online).

I don't want to discuss "the past" (THAT past, other "past" issues are OK), since a lot of embarrassment and offense occurred to all parties. I would like to say thanks to JQP and Gaillo for facilitating my return, and, thanks to everyone who missed me!

(I see that some believe another person, "Quantum," was me. NO, I am not / was not "other users." I will make no sustained effort to dissuade anyone from believing it, however. During my GIM "career," most of my usernames were fingered as multiple people, the most hilarious being "End of Hope" as Sukhoi Fan - that was fun to play into. Just accept that "the original" is here, now).

The terms 'taxpayer' and 'tax payer' are not synonymous.

And as SG420 stated, there are also 'non-taxpayers', 'people who pay as little tax as they can' and 'people who just don't pay taxes, period'.

i appreciate the sentiment for sure, but there is probably some merit to tossing the IRS a bone so as to simulate compliance.

i wonder if the IRS is reading this.

Hi IRS Boyz ! Do you guys remember that part about "no taxation without representation" ?

hey, IRS Boyz - i got a question. how many of you are Jewish ?

IRS Boyz, do you think it's our job to pay your taxes when you don't have the guts to investigate 9-11 ?

that'll show 'em. ;D

speaking of Jewish tax collectors, Rahm Emanuel's terrorist father or the father of his terrorist father, Rahm's grandfather, was a Soviet tax collector.

one final note, to illustrate my mastery of the subject matter. i think one of the possible reasons for the closure of GIM1 was that it was a breeding ground for PDT's and other independent & honest thinkers.

this reminds me of Passover. where the Jews would paint their doorway with human or animal blood to keep away the bad guys, or the bad spirits.

does that work on the IRS ? i can get some liver cheap from the supermarket, that's got blood in it.

Speaking of PDT's, i never found out what the IRS did to Joe Stack that pissed him off so much. anybody got the background story on him ?

i wonder if he tried to "do the right thing", in terms of tax compliance, but got screwed on some technicality, lost part of his life savings, and got pissed.

I've found that I've agreed with some of his incarnations more often than others also.

I really liked his avatar when he was portmanteau. It was some kind of crazy smiling face. I can't really describe it, but I found it entertaining.

Thanks Sir Gonzo !

It sounds like the IRS took $40,000 from him in one instance, $10K in another instance that I think involved his IRA, and $12K that related to his wife.

I doubt that he was pissed off about paying $40K in taxes. My guess is, that $40K refers to a penalty, a fine, something like that.

Anybody know ?

If I'm a Potentially Dangerous Taxpayer, then what's the government ? DDG - Definitely Dangerous Government ?

How's this for new math:

PDT > DDG
NTWOR

NTWOR = No Taxation Without Representation.

sounds like a possible premise for a movie. Rambo 5. John Rambo has finally settled down but the government comes to seize his house and life savings because he didn't file a form he didn't know he was supposed to file.

John Rambo, PDT, vs. the United States IRS.

i actually think that would make a good movie.
