Everyone else has suggested some remarkable baloney. I hear they actually tried Kevin Costner's idea because he had spent the money to develop it. Anybody else?

cost 1/10 what dispersants cost
proven effective
easy to deploy
etc

Why did Bill gates, Warren Buffett, etc buy a boatload of NALCO stock last fall (the company that makes the dispersant)??
