I just finished it. I thought it was put together quite well. Very detailed, almost to the point of being a "How-to" manual.

I read it. LOVED IT. Couldn't put it down after I started reading it.
It is written to be a story AND a "How To" instructional on how to prep and deal with SHTF.

I couldn't put it down once I began reading it...
It was a very good read as well as a "how to" as you guy's mentioned.
I will say, some of the story line was a little quirky but other than that it was well put together. 8)

If it's the same book as "Triple Ought", then I've read it.
A few "cheesy" parts to it, but overall some very good information and a not-too bad storyline.

Read it a couple months ago. Some of the chapters are all over the place. Rawles is really good at listing what you need for preps and covering certain situations, but he should have hired some to actually edit that book into something that actually flows from chapter to chapter.
Rawles is good for info, but a bad writer compared to most authors.

I personally thought it was put together just fine. Chronologically correct, etc.
Gaillo, I'm not sure if that's the same book or not. I really liked this one. It's the first fictional piece I've read since I discovered the conspiracy. Nice to take a break, but still gain some knowledge.

Good story and some good prepping ideas. That said, I found some of it a bit "over the top" with Communist cannibals and mixed UN troops. I thought that "One Second After" was more realistic even though I think that financial-dollar collapse was more likely than a EMP terrorist attack. Of course "Alas Babylon" is an old classic. Then "The Road" was good but even then there were a couple spots that made absolutely no sense (like why leave a well stocked bunker to travel to a far away beach?).
Actually I like the online free book "Lights Out" by Halffast (if you can still find it online somewhere). It's about 611 pages but a good fast read. I think that it has been removed from some sites because the author has a book-movie deal in the works.
I have just re-read "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand and Unintended Consequences" by John Ross (highly recommended). The only problem is that "Unintended Consequences" is out of print and hard to find except for big $$$ on FleaBay. Still worth getting if you can.
Unfortunately there just aren't many good survivalist-Prepper PAW fiction books around that are "realistic".
I just make my own preps and hope for the best:

I loved Patriots, couldn't put it down once I started reading it. I bought extra copies and gave them to my dad and my brother.

Tried to give a copy to my dad but he wouldn't even look at it.... :(
Tried to get him to watch freedom to fascism... :(
Begged him to get out of the market before October '08.... :(
Yadda, Yadda, Yadda.... :conf:
