Just wondering if anyone here uses satelite direct on their computer. It sounds like a good deal
for tv and radio. Are there better deals out there, than this at 50 bucks.

Cable or DSL internet is way faster than satellite internet speed. Satellite also has monthly usage limits hidden in the contract.

Sorry , I misworded that. I meant to say Satelite Direct TV. They claim 3500 channels and radio on your computer. I do have DSL.

I know what you mean. It might come in handy for me sometimes though, when I have my kids at the shop with me.

Save your hard-earned money. Let them watch free movies on your DSL line.

If you live in rural area without cable, satellite is quite often your only option, and anything is better than dialup, yuck I never thought I would have to say that again, Dialup, remember when it was the only thing available, It was SOooooo high tech,

If they provide dialup phone service they usually will also provide DSL service. Even in the boonies now.

I am hook up to satellite for the five main national channels (have no regular TV reception here) for $4.98 a months and get about 50 more satellites channels with that.........I no longer watch TV but do keep it as a back up for in case of a national emergency like 9/11.

Not true where I live, I have the choice of dial up or cell stick modem, no DSL.

I'd like to find out how to get satellite TV for free. Not that I want to steal it, but if the internet is cut its a way to know whats going on in the world, however distorted it may be.
