Nearly all questions at National Incident Commander Thad Allen's press conference today concerned the structural integrity of the well and the possibility of seepage into the seabed or a blowout.

The whole top side fix stuff is all a show, IMO, as it is becoming clear that not even the relief wells are likely not going to work. Even if all of the top side caps and pipes are successful, if there is damage down below we are not going to stop the gusher.
