And Thad Allen admits, "One could make the case that there's some structural integrity issues with the casing of the wellbore itself."

The whole top side fix stuff is all a show, IMO, as it is becoming clear that not even the relief wells are likely not going to work. Even if all of the top side caps and pipes are successful, if there is damage down below we are not going to stop the gusher.
