Remember folks that the workers are not the ones making the big bucks but rather the factories and business owners and I found a way where the little guys would not get hurt and taxes would be paid by those holding the money bags..........here is my (crazy) idea.........we earn X amount of dollars and that's it, we pay no taxes on that money but the factories and business would be the ones paying the it.
Think about it, prices for rent, food, clothing, soft drinks and so on would remain about the same and the increases would come directly from the producers and not the dealers.......the raise in salaries would depend on how much the prices had gone up but that would be something for the government and the businesses to deal with and it would leave us out of the equation.
The government would know how much material the factories and businesses are getting and they know how much goods they are producing so that it would be very simple for the government to come up as to how much taxes they should pay..........instead of going after 25 people working for a business they only would have to go against one.......the business itself.
And something else, even if a business is paying "under the table" they would have to produce X ammount of product for that worker.
What do you think? would it work?..............

What product Ponce?
Why do you think they are going with more technology, get rid of the worker or send the job overseas for cheaper labor, less or no taxes.

Yes, this has been tried. It's called communism and it has falied miserably everywhere it has been tried. Workers have no incentive to work because their compensation is fixed and guaranteed. Factories have no incentive to be productive because any increase in profit is immediately allocated by the state to be redistributed. The state runs perenial deficits because all the people in charge are taking bribes and kickbacks and stealing from under the table. Everyone pretends to work and everyone pretends to produce while less and less gets done or made and the quality goes down the toilet. Pretty soon the nation is dirt poor and the currency collapses because it cannot export anything except maybe raw materials. Except only foreign companies have the know how to extract these raw materials but will not invest in the communist country because the minute they make a profit their industry is nationalized.

It is inflation and taxation, to borrow from Lenin's quote, that are the millstones grinding away at the middle class. The concern for the burden of tax is not misplaced.
How about this:
10% flat tax on personal income, 0% on corporate profits. 6% goes to federal, 3% to state, 1% to municipality or county.
The logic is that corporate profits find themselves as income, be it via dividends, capital gains, and expansion. Additionally, that would turn the United States into a tax haven and many companies would decide to relocate. As for 10%, that is generous; the federal government made do on 6% for some time.
Of course, this will never happen since it seems like every two-bit union has entrenched itself into power. This country is screwed, I am just trying to avoid the consequences.
