Horn if you right click on images like that you can view the properties. Then you can copy the TYPE and paste it in another TAB to see what you got. I did that and this is what I got.

Say that again, i'm sittin here in Las Vegas, and the humidity practically triples overnight from like 9% to 24%

All the dry air retreats northward of me in a couple hours or so, I come home and the house is like swimming in soup.

I run a swamp cooler here, and can't seem to find controls anywhere to deal with that kinda swing. ;D

Where'd you find that one? it looks all nice and smooth?

Is the first gif GD posted just a glitch, or is yours a little postdated, yet?

That's a joke!
Just checked yesterday's weather stats for my city:
Low: 47% rH
High: 100% rH
Average: 85% rH

Precipitation: 0.02in

Low Temp: 77F
High Temp: 94F
Average Temp: 88F

Yesterday was not a particularly miserable day, either.

Constant rainy season over there, until it breaks up around late September

Though the recent economic outlook for next dry season looks pretty painful there as well, dunno if I'll go back?

May just do the brainwork over the internet for the crew.

What do you mean by, "retreats north"?
Is it cooler at night than during the day?
If so, it can easily be "more humid" at night even with the same physical amount of water vapor that is in the air during the day.

Also, there's a reason they call them swamp coolers.
i.e. in the weather conditions most people live in they'll make your house about as cool as a swamp would be. But in 9% humidity they'll work pretty good.

The good news is that tonight should be your last night like this until Wednesday night. So try to enjoy the next few nights.

What's interesting is that all the images are current. WTF is that mass in the mid Atlantic?

Which picture?

All I see in the Atlantic part of the pics is clouds and water vapor swirling around a couple low pressure areas.

open your mind

It would help if you could explain where the "mass" he speaks of is at in the pic.
i.e. save it, open in paint and draw an arrow pointing to the mass and then re-post it.

All I see is a hurricane just SE of Bermuda and a low pressure area just to the NW of the Azores. There's also an area of storms due West of Barbados.
All the rest of the light grey stuff is just water vapor and clouds moving through the air.
