Word is that EJS has ditched the "public pretender" and is representing himself. I'm sure he's aware of plenty of cases where the "public pretender" has filed motions with the court against the wishes of the defendant. Dr. Kaczynski being, perhaps, the most famous.

Are there no lawyers anywhere with a Federal license to practice that could do pro bono work? Or is it that this man is marked as Damned and none are willing to do the right thing?

Lawyers don't want to get on their Bar Association's shet list. It might be a good idea to send Kelsey Steele a donation (see link) so she can get an attorney to get a hold of the tapes and pay someone to analyze them.
