I call "SUSPECT" on this! (i.e., not quite "BULLSH*T")
The "exploding" sample came from a boat marina (adjacent to an oil boom no less) - my limited experience from marinas is that there is always fuel contamination in marina waters.
- this news report (falsely) ties the presence of oil to the BP leak -
My strong hunch is that the marina sample was contaminated from the Chevron fuel station rather than the deep water well.
I'd like to see what the baseline petroleum readings are (guessing that the levels should be zero ppm is not a scientific baseline).
