Thank you Zap, I was about to say the same........some high schools no longer give a test in order to go to the next lever and colleges have down size their entrance exams because of them........but of course for me they would have to go down to 25%.

I think it has a lot more to do with what we, citizens of the world, chose to accept as important and fundemental in living out our lives that determines the overall intelligence of a community.

If hollywood, sports, consumerism, and self indulgence is what we accept as important, and it is what we have accepted, then it is us as a whole that makes us dumb.

If we embraced charity, independance, liberty and equality, which we haven't, then we as a community of human beings would be a hell of a lot more intelligent as a whole.

Let's face it....the western world, much of Europe and recently the orient is steeped in pop culture and consumerism. That pretty much points to the answer of why we are getting dumber by the day.

We were in those two wars, also, and ended up last man standing. That gave us a couple of additional generations before we succumbed. Very sad. Wasted opportunity.
