I'm thinking of doing the primal diet for about 6 months and see how I like it and see the results.

I know the basic idea is to eliminate refined foods, refined sugars, and grains. My biggest questions are about legumes and corn based foods. I like to make lot of foods from dried beans, i.e. Chili, home-made refried beans, chickpea curry. Second, is corn-based pasta or corn tortillas OK? My Ex-gf had Celiac disease and could eat both, that's why I'm bringing it up.

Thanks for any help.

Have you been reading Claire Wolfe (http://www.backwoodshome.com/blogs/ClaireWolfe/)? She has been doing it for a month or so now.

I am already in enough pain, so I don't go looking for more. Plus I live in Fla and am being poisoned by the government by water and air! :sarc:

Neither legumes nor corn are allowed in a true Paleolithic Diet (they are products of agriculture). As for modifications, I'm not sure (I see some consider "the Primal Diet" identical to a Paleolithic Diet, and others consider it a modification). I'd stick with a strict Paleo menu, rather than modern adjustments, to get the full benefit.
