More Communist front organizations.

Legalizing Cannabis = TAX

If you think the Government can give you the 'right' to put something into your own body (private temple), as long as you pay a tax, YOU ARE A SLAVE.

Government can never tax a RIGHT.

worldwide, marijuana is a $50 to $75 billion a year industry.

because most of the industry is underground, and the part "above-ground" (legal & taxed, among other things) is growing, that legal part of the industry is economically significant - big, and getting bigger.

there are 4 parts of the economy that i can identify that are growing, or at least have job openings -
* so-called homeland security
* the legal part of the marijuana industry
* APMex
* the sustainable energy industry - e.g. Matt Simmons' Ocean Energy wind farm venture capital fund.

it is inevitable that larger corporations will begin to participate. either as a wealthy player that comes in and sets up a humongous farm from the get-go, or as smaller companies grow into bigger companies.

Calif. newspapers have been buzzing about this for the last few days. 8)

My guess is the strategy of big corporations will be to buyout the successful start-ups...like they have done in the organic/natural food industry. When you are close to the money supply, you can take-over anything and everything.

'splain to me why a local government can choose to ignore Federal laws (e.g., commerical marijuana, medical marijuana, medical income/sales taxes, as well as immigration [next door in SF]) is OK and ignored

BUT SOMEHOW

a local law that mirrors federal immigration law is challenged by DOJ?

Oh, wait, I forgot, liberal hypocrisy.

Never mind

Another day, another new thread on the same topic here at GSUS.
We all have our own versions of hell.
