That is a good question Stacker but I do not think that I have a good answer. I am guessing here but I do not think that Michael Jackson was neither an Elvis person nor a Beetles person. I really want to say that Michael Jackson was a......................Michael Jackson person. When making music, he was just himself. I do not think that he was trying to be like Elvis or the Beatles. MJ's music was IMO much different that that of the Beetles or Elvis. That's how I see it.

That is true that I threw his name in the ring but I only did that because I just like his music. I like his music better than the Beatles and Elvis. I think that I have to do more than listen to MJ's music to be a true MJ worshipper. Everyone even close to my age identifies with the song [iThriller[/i] even if they never want to hear it again.
The man is an icon. I have no use for the iconography but I think the man is an important sad statement on family values and self identity in the face of fame. I can't comprehend the hero worship of Michael Jackson any more than I can the worship of Elvis or the Beatles. He is, however, just as much of an icon with an equivalent raging fan base.
But, since we're asking, I suppose I'd pick the Beatles only because those were the choices given, though. Elvis annoys the hell out of me for the most part.
