View Full Version : Trying to report vandalism

Last night someone stole driveway lights and bent the doors on mailboxes here.
So I thought I'd report it so the cops would know there was vandalism going on.
When I called the non-emergency number I left my phone number and someone called back to take a report.
I told them what had happened and all was fine until I was asked to give my date of birth.
I asked why they would need that.
Told they had to have my DOB and my social security number and drivers license number!
I said, "You have my phone number, my name and address, why would you need those other items?"
Was told I could not make a report without that information.
So I said then forget it. No reason for any of that.
Isn't this just bullsh*t!?
The cops want to put the 'victims' information in their file.
Give them something to look into.
Perfect example of how upside down and backwards our society has become.
No wonder no one wants to report anything to Those Who Serve and Protect.

Yeah that sounds like way too much information that they are asking from you to just do a police report. Even after they file a report, would anything get done about the vandalism? It would just mean they they have all of your sensitive information and you might not get anything in return (i.e. arrest the people who were responsible).
They will probably just sit on it and not do anything about it.

Now you've done it. You've contacted them and now they'll be suspicious as to why you won't give your info.
Never call the cops unless you want more problems.
Put some motion detector spotlights on your property. Keep a baseball bat or a piece of plumbing near the door. Stay up a bit later and keep an eye on things. It's an easier solution than waiting for some badge to get up off his ass and do it for you.

I no longer bother calling the cops. It makes me feel bad, but rationally, I realize nothing good can come from it.

I had the same basic experience with my towns worthless Junta about a year and a half ago.
My apartment complex was having a problem with the wiggers playing their ghetto music so loud in their parked cars the buildings windows would rattle.
I too asked why the info was needed, and the prick Junta got lippy with me and said to give him the info or he wouldn't send out a car. It didn't used to be that way... My town used to be really good about dealing with nuisance people with out the caller having to identify themselves.
I don't want the Junta letting the wiggers know who called. Next thing you know I come home and my place is broken into, or my car gets vandalized as revenge. I can deal with the wiggers just fine. But the laws always punish the good and reward the bad. It's a lose-lose situation.
I'm really starting to hate this country...

Exactly! And if you do call . . . be anonymous from a pre-paid cell phone. I lose the "connection" any time anyone asks questions I don't like. Oops.

my guess is, the America of the 1950's and the 1970's, you may have liked a lot more. this is a much different country.
that is one of the tricks of the Jews, setting brother against brother.
(not that the Wiggers should be your "brother" necessarily.)
if we all had our "40 acres and a mule" - that policy worked pretty well after the Civil War.
the economics of the land developed to take the people off the land into a world of specialized tasks, middlemen, outsourcing, and the madness of supply chain management.
i think American people were healthier growing things on farms and building things in American factories, than they are now that we have had 30 years of out-sourcing.
i think people need space - physical space - so that people aren't in each other's face.
e.g. my Mom has a neighbor with 4 chihuahua's that are occasionally Yappy. that normally wouldn't be a problem, but if you're looking for peace & quiet ... in a place with city lots (50 x 100), just something like a dog barking can cause friction between neighbors.
but if everybody's got 5 acres, then all you need are neighbors who are smart enough not to start a grass-fire.
as far as the cops, i think the truly good ones are in the minority at this point. So many of them are SO Tase-happy ... as far as I am concerned, Tasing is a lot like attempted murder.

Suprised they didn't hit you with this line.

I've never had anyone ask for more than my name and phone number when I called the cops in any city or state I've ever lived in. Weird.
