The largest % holding for me is my 401-K plan at work. I do not own any real estate.

Most of us here are allergic to questions about our holdings, especially when coming from a newbie with all of 16 posts.

Most of my wealth is invested in archaic and obscure train switches from the NYC Subway system.

Lead, brass, and copper here, all very good and useful commodities to have, everyone should be long in these (as 'value-added' products of course).

My buggy whip collection is way undervalued.

I personally believe that Messers Geitner and Bernanke will soon be making me a substantial offer for my physical holdings to enable them to continue flogging the dead horse economy.

(PS Do not invest in the buggy whip ETF - there is a 100:1 ratio of paper to physical according to WATA!)

Since I can physically hold my 401-K quarterly paper statement, then that means that I own it. :D

Stacker, that is good that you got a good deal on it and it is your largest holding but does it pass the "Ponce Test"? In other words, can you hold this bridge in your hand? If it does not pass the "Ponce Test", then you really do not own it. :D :D :D

Hi Bob!
I'll bet my navel lint is worth it's weight in FRN's. Probably couldn't get much real money for it.

BTW, did you find a good home for your Araucana?

No home for this special rare breed...unless you are inquiring to take him? Should I send Wendy over with him? She says she is really good at removing the chrome off a trailer hitch...or something like that...or maybe it is a golf ball and a garden hose? I don't remember.
He has to go soon.

My version of Ponces saying...

"If you can't take it with you when you die, you don't own it."

It's the kind of things that don't get burnt up when tested by fire that count.

I used to collect comics books a long time ago (early 1990's). I had as many as 2,300+ comic books before I decided to sell most of them. Most of them were Spider-Man because that was my favorite character. I also read X-Men, Batman, Hulk, and a lot of other major comic book characters. Most of mine were not that valuable and I think that the one that had any value in it was the comic book called Amazing Spider-Man # 50 (1st appearance of the Kingpin). All of those comic books were not in great shape because I used to read them multiple times. I sold most of them now and I might have about 100-200 left. I plan to sell the rest of them on ebay.
