You are all probably at least somewhat familiar with card games that younger people play, mostly children, ie. "Magic: the Gathering", etc.

I was doing some shopping in a local big-box store. I noticed some cards hanging up on a rack by the cashier's check-out counter. My jaw dropped.

Firstly, the name of the card game: Chaotic

The first pack I layed eyes on was a booster pack, named "Rise of the Oligarch"

Then there was "Silent Sands" (A suggestion of the middle east being destroyed??)

Also packs called "Turn of the Tide" (I relate this the jewry becoming more powerful and liberated)

Others in the series are "Fire and Stone", "Secrets of Lost City Alliances Unraveled", "Zenith of the Hive", "Dawn of Perim", "Beyond the Doors" etc.

Something strikes me odd about the terminology they are using. It doesn't sit right with me. What say you?

I think you could be onto something. The terminology does seem odd. This is the one that stood out to me: "Secrets of Lost City Alliances Unraveled", but I am not sure why exactly . . . secret alliances unraveled.

No different than Dungeons & Dragons of the 70's-80's.

Corruption is everywhere.

Wait... what the hell was wrong with D&D? I'm thinking back and not coming up with anything that would implicate that game as corrupting...

Lessee...

Gold? Check
Silver? Check
Platinum? Check
Copper? Check
Electrum? Check
Body armor? Check
Massive arrays of weapons? Check

What's not to like?

They are trying to get young children embroiled in the occult at a very young age. Pokemon is another example. Ouiji boards, too.

Ever roll an evil character, say a lawful evil priest of Chemosh? It can get messy.

I had a blast with D&D back in the day however I have a much different view of the world these days. As dys wrote these games have an occult familiarization aspect we don't think about (as a society) much.

Chess is the work of Satan himself. A few examples will suffice to convince:

A heresy implicit in the play of Chess, is that of returning lost souls to play. If a simple pawn makes it unmolested to the final rank of the enemy's side, he can be transmuted to any other piece of the game. In this manner, lost pieces can be regained. The bible clearly shows that there is only one event of importance following an individual's death, and that is the judgement. After that, the soul is sent Heavenwards or dropped into the Lake of Fire. Reincarnation is the devil's idea.

In addition to problems with the rules, certain conventions of game play are offensive to any True Christian who has seen the Truth. It is possible, if care is not taken, to move the Knight in such a manner that the outline of a Pentagram is described on the board, an incontrovertible sign of Satan.

Most frighteningly, throughout most of the game, the mechanism of capturing a piece results in removal of the lost piece. In the final move, of EVERY chess game, the King is not captured. Instead, the losing player lays his King down on the board, mimicking a ritualistic HUMAN SACRIFICE!

Does it still sound like a simple 'Game?'

The forces of Darkness have managed to get introductory chess books into almost EVERY school library in the entire country! Our children are ENCOURAGED to take up the Devil's Pastime! They often play it in pairs, unsupervised by any responsible adults.

We must act now to fight against Satan's own game for the sake of the children and the children's children and so on.

;D

The ball in the center kind of reminds me of the all-seeing eye. Maybe I should take a second look at my pokemon cards. http://gogaminggiant.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/pokeball.gif
