Went today to my bank and found out that I was being ripped off in the past when buying the Canadian dollar by 2.8%, told them that I was going elsewhere.
My favorite store the "Senior Thrift Store" use to sell their bags full of clothing for $2.00 and then it went up to $3.00 and just today it went up to $4.00 per bag, I asked the lady how come the increase and she told me that they were getting to many customers and specially from kids getting ready for school, but even at $4.00 it is a heck of a good buy..........I don't think about the prices of today but rather what the prices will be tomorrow..........remember that we import 93% of our clothing.
Another store closed down but now out of nowhere we are getting more tourists.

Silver? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO they love it when I come in to buy bags and bags of clothing.....they even have clothing in some sheds because they don't have the space to put them out......besides, I ususaly give them five or six bucks.

What are you talking about? Clothes are so cheap that even the poor don't really want any more. Most of the clothes donated to charity are sold to flea market dealers before the charity even takes a look at them.

At this point, on the average, Ponce is probably keeping another bag of clothes from going in the garbage, or to China.
Keeping more clothes in the local community.
Until such behavior starts to cause prices to go up.... at some point there may be too many Ponces in town. :)

I do not think that there is enough room on the Internet for more than one Ponce. :D It would crash the Internet if there was more than one Ponce. :D

I dont know what it it, but EVERY time I see a Ponce post, first thought that comes is the skillful work of one of Mamboni's photo shops. You know, the one with the ol'Cuban with the extra long home rolled fatty and mountain of TP in the backdrop. ;D

Ponce,
While you are smart to be looking to the future with your various supplies, don't forget to enjoy several aspects of life now while you can. If memory serves, you have mentioned that you are in your 60's. Sh*t happens in a hurry. Pun intended for your TP hoard. ;)
Don't be one of these old coots that lives in squalor despite having plenty of means to indulge in some of the finer things that life has to offer. We are all going to die, so it is important to let your hair down on occasion while you still have some.
yes. i just checked. round trip to Hawaii from Portland - $951.20
how about a GS-US trip to Hawaii ?
only one problem ... we'd be at the airport ... and then we'd start talking ... and someone would say, "dude, that's 50 ounces of silver."
"i know. almost a full ounce of gold. just to dive with the sea turtles. not sure if it's worth it."
maybe it's better to do a road trip to San Diego.

Glad to hear you learned you were getting ripped off (instead of just getting taken). Are you taking all your banking business elsewhere, or just the foreign currency business?

Well my good people I am a 70 year young man who still enjoys life to its fuller and who never gets sick, and I still walk, jog and us a rowing machine and all that I have is pain in my shoulders and my right leg from my past life........I already have been all around the world but for China and Russia.
I really don't know what I am going to do with my extra cash.........if to go to another bank and buy more Canadians or what, the thing is that in what is to come there will be a lot of good buys out there and I want to be ready with dollars because to the sheep's that's the only real money.
My only REALLLLLLLLL problem is cleaning my home..............what a mess.
First post of the day..........good morning to one and all.

Zap? the word "pretty" does not apply to the ladies in this area.......they look more like brown bears wearing a mu mu dress hahahahahahahaha, as a matter of fact many tourists confuse them with the Sasquatch.
