Yawn. A party exists to push a principle. There is no principle that you can get a majority to agree on. Every party has to cater to some things the founders don't care about just to get enough members to win an election. The first requirement is you have to win elections. Pretty soon the party has given up everything it ever stood for, compromising on everything because the first requirement is to win elections regardless of beliefs. By the time the party works its way up the influence chain it is identical to its sworn enemy in everything except the name.

It doesn't matter how good you think your party is, it is just as lousy as any other party. Either that or it doesn't have enough members to make a difference.
