The White House today responded to news that nearly one in five Americans erroneously believe President Obama is a Muslim by telling reporters that the president prays on a daily basis.


"The President is obviously a -- is Christian," Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton said. "He prays every day. He communicates with his religious advisor every single day. There's a group of pastors that he takes counsel from on a regular basis. And his faith is very important to him, but it's not something that is a topic of conversation every single day."


Asked why people believe despite this that Mr. Obama is a Muslim, Burton responded, "I just think people are focused on other issues and not paying all that much attention to exactly what the President does with his spirituality. But as you all know and have covered extensively, he is Christian and his faith is very important to him."

I think its higher than that, TBH. I deal with allllll kinds of people through out the day, from all walks of life. Hell, I work in a old folks comprised mainly of jewish new york democrats. Most them now cant stand the guy.

I was in line the otherday in a very democrat infested area of my county at the DMV. Ive been there twice in the last week, and once at another one a little more north. ANyways, at each one I cant count how many people I heard mutter about them having to bring all their papers just to be seen at the DMV when "obama didnt even have to show his Birth Cert."

Its not just disgruntled white tea party people, its women and men, dems and repubs, young and old. And mind you, I live in a county that almost singlehandedly voted Obama in for our state.

People are getting REAL sick of it. They may no understand the system at all, they may be mindless slaves with no clue, but they are getting really pissed off.
