I really hope I'm not being paranoid, and this is NOT some b.s. conspiracy to control more of the food market, and come after the mom and pop chicken/ egg producer. I know more people then ever, that have backyard egg mini-factories. And also think TPTB are realizing this as well. It seems to be getting alot of hype in the news lately. Funny, that these things seem to always sprout up in the midwest.(luckily) I get our eggs from my sisters backyard operation. (thanks sis!) Haven't bought crappy store eggs in a long time, and will never go back.

Lack of hygiene by workers, combined with industrial "agriculture," and you've got a biological nightmare on your hands.

The owner of the egg "farms" that produced these contaminated eggs has been caught hiring illegals left and right in the past.

I think that eggs are the last major food that is not GMO'ed ... maybe it needs to be taken down as a result.

Infected chickens producing infected eggs. At least that's what I heard.

Yep...the salmonella is INSIDE the eggs and not just on the shells. The hens are infected.

What's the deal with the sudden salmonella outbreak of eggs?

Dipshits eating raw or undercooked eggs.

Cook your eggs completely and use basic sanitation practices while handling/cooking and even eggs containing salmonella are perfectly safe to eat.
Strange that that fact is rarely mentioned in the MSM hysterical articles :conf: ...

Disagree. Massive egg factories and other unsavory producers of eggs are the problem. The solution is likely the passage of the "Food Safety Bill" as stated above. Raw eggs (from healthy chickens) are extremely good for you.
