Very suspicious to issue such a serious warrant and then cancel it. A warning of some kind? A move to give him "credibility" among conspiracy theorists?

What about Sweden ?
They have been bashed lately for being anti Israel.

Seems like a common tactic to destroy someone. Get an agent to report a crime, and then publish it widely. Doesn't matter if it is a lie. The scandal gets far more attention than the truth. A minimum requirement in my opinion, would be that the false accuser gets his/her name published, especially if the falsely accused had his/her name published.
