Yes, it would have mattered. Elections from here on out are about repeatedly booting out incumbents until it leads to a behavioral change. This is why I was pleased to see Scott Brown win here in Massachusetts. If things don't change, we should boot him out, too. Things will change when it becomes politically expeditious for them to change. It might take many elections cycles. I was hoping it would start in earnest this time around. I find this result very discouraging. The only redemption will be if he gets defeated in November. Otherwise, Arizona has spit the bit.
